Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effect of academic pressure and career readiness on students' mental health with social support as a moderating variable. This study uses a quantitative approach with the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 100 active undergraduate students at a private university in Semarang, using purposive and accidental sampling techniques. The results showed that career readiness and social support had a positive and significant effect on mental health. Conversely, academic pressure did not have a significant effect on mental health. However, social support was not found to moderate the influence of academic pressure or career readiness on mental health. This study concludes that students' mental health is more influenced by protective factors such as career readiness and social support than by academic pressure. Therefore, universities need to focus their student development program policies on strengthening career readiness and a supportive social environment. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode Structural Equation Modelling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada 100 mahasiswa aktif program Strata Satu (S1) Universitas Swasta di Kota Semarang, menggunakan teknik purposive dan accidental sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesiapan karir dan dukungan sosial berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kesehatan mental. Sebaliknya, tekanan akademik tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kesehatan mental. Namun, dukungan sosial tidak terbukti memoderasi pengaruh tekanan akademik maupun kesiapan karir terhadap kesehatan mental. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kesehatan mental mahasiswa lebih dipengaruhi faktor protektif berupa kesiapan karir dan dukungan sosial dibandingkan tekanan akademik, sehingga perguruan tinggi perlu memfokuskan kebijakan dari program pengembangan mahasiswa pada penguatan kesiapan karir dan lingkungan sosial yang suportif. |
