Abstract
Gen Z employees have higher anxiety and work stress compared to other generation groups. This study aims to analyze the influence of the work environment and employee engagement on work stress in Gen Z employees in Semarang City. This study uses a quantitative method with an explanatory causality type. The independent variables in the study are: work environment (X1) and employee engagement (X2) while the dependent variable is work stress (Y). The population used in this study were all Gen Z employees in Semarang City. A sample of 100 employees was taken using a purposive sampling technique. The data collection method used a Googleform questionnaire which was then analyzed using multiple regression. The results of this study are (1) the work environment has a significant negative effect on work stress in Gen Z employees. (2) Employee engagement has a significant negative effect on work stress in Gen Z employees. (3) The work environment and employee engagement simultaneously have a significant effect on work stress in Gen Z employees.

Additional Information: | Karyawan Gen Z memiliki kecemasan dan stres kerja lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelompok generasi lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh lingkungan kerja dan employee engagement terhadap terhadap stres kerja pada karyawan Gen Z di Kota Semarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan tipe ekplanatori kausalitas. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian yaitu: lingkungan kerja (X1) dan employee engagement (X2) sedangkan variabel terikatnya adalah stres kerja (Y). Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh karyawan Gen Z Di Kota Semarang. Sampel sebanyak 100 karyawan, diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner googleform yang kemudian dianalisis dengan regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu (1) lingkungan kerja berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap stres kerja karyawan Gen Z. (2) Employee engagement berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap stres kerja karyawan Gen Z. (3) Lingkungan kerja dan employee engagement secara simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap stres kerja karyawan Gen Z. |
