Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of workplace bullying and work engagement on employability, with job insecurity as a mediating variable. The research applies a quantitative approach using an online survey of 100 employees in Semarang. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS software. The results show that workplace bullying has a negative and significant effect on employability and increases job insecurity. On the other hand, work engagement positively affects employability and reduces job insecurity. Furthermore, job insecurity is found to mediate the relationship between workplace bullying and work engagement on employability. These findings have practical implications for organizational management to foster a healthy work environment, support employee engagement, and reduce job insecurity to maintain and enhance employees' competitiveness in the labor market.
