Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of business strategy and board practices on company performance and the role of human capital investment in mediating good corporate governance on the performance of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2019 to 2023. The population of this study includes 18 SOEs listed on the IDX. The sample was selected using purposive sampling, resulting in a sample size of 13 SOEs listed on the IDX. The analysis tool used is Structural Equation Modelling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with the SmartPLS software. The results indicate that business strategy, good corporate governance and human capital investment have a significant positive effect on performance, and board practices have a significant negative effect on performance.

Additional Information:	Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh strategi bisnis, board practice terhadap kinerja perusahaan dan peran human capital investment dalam memediasi good corporate governance terhadap kinerja BUMN yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) tahun 2019-2023. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 18 perusahaan BUMN yang terdaftar di BEI. Metode pengambilan sampel penelitian menggunakan purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebesar 13 perusahaan BUMN di Indonesia yang terdaftar di BEI. Alat analisis menggunakan Structural Equation Modelling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) dengan software SmartPLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi bisnis, good corporate governance dan human capital investment berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja serta human capital investment mampu memediasi sebagian (partial mediation) pengaruh good corporate governance terhadap kinerja, sedangkan board practice berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap kinerja perusahaan.
