Abstract

Civil servant is an important element in a government agency. Its existence is very much needed in the context of serving the community because it is tasked with providing direct services to the community in a professional, responsible, honest and fair manner in carrying out the duties of the State, government and development. This research aims to analyze the role of employee competence, training and discipline on the performance of Central Java Province Social Service. This research includes associative research with a quantitative approach. The population of this study were all employees of the Central Java Province Social Service. A total of 165 employees were taken as samples using the Simple Ramdom Sampling technique. SEM-PLS has been used to analyze the data in this research. The research results show that competency, training and work discipline have a positive and significant effect on the performance of Central Java Province Social Service employees. Suggestions for future research are to expand the research object not only to one organization but to combine it with other similar organizations and to add other variables which are strongly suspected to influence employee performance. Keberadaannya sangat dibutuhkan dalam rangka pelayanan kepada masyarakat karena bertugas memberikan pelayanan langsung kepada masyarakat secara professional, bertanggung jawab, jujur dan adil dalam penyelenggaraan tugas Negara, pemerintah dan Pembangunan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran kompetensi, pelatihan, dan disiplin pegawai terhadap kinerja pegawai Dinas Sosial Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian asosiatif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh pegawai Dinas Sosial Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Sebanyak 165 pegawai diambil sebagai sampel dengan teknisk Simple Ramdom Sampling. SEM-PLS telah digunakan untuk menganalisis data dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi, pelatihan dan disiplin kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai Dinas Sosial Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Saran untuk penelitian mendatang adalah memperluas objek penelitian tidak hanya pada satu organisasi tetapi dapat digabungkan dengan organisasi lainnya yang sama serta dapat menambahkan variabel-variabel lain yang diduga kuat dapat mempengaruhi kinerja pegawai
