Abstract

This study aims to answer some of the classic problems in Islamic banking. The problem is the high portfolio of murabaha financing. Low profit sharing (Mudharabah) or dominating non-profit financing namely murabahah, salam, and istishna in the Islamic bank financing portfolio has become a global phenomenon in sharia banking in general. This research is limited to one of the sharia banks in the city of Semarang, the BNI Syariah bank of the Semarang branch. This linkage program is a partnership financing in which the SME sector is implemented indirectly. Distribution through agents or partner companies, namely microfinance institutions. This activity is the only strategy pursued by Islamic banks to increase profit sharing financing. Although this mudharabah scheme is the spirit or essence of Islamic bank financing, but for Islamic banks financing to the real micro small and medium enterprises (MSME) sector does not have to use the mudharabah agreement in accordance with the identification of the needs of real sector customers.
