Abstract
This research aims to examine the influence of transformational leadership on structural empowerment, job satisfaction and patient safety, structural empowerment on job satisfaction and patient safety and the role of structural empowerment in mediating the influence of transformational leadership on job satisfaction and patient safety. The population in this study were all nurses at RSUD dr. Gondo Suwarno Ungaran as many as 210, sample size 176 respondents. Data analysis uses SEM partial least squares (PLS) with the smartPLS analysis tool. The research results show that transformational leadership has a significant positive effect on structural empowerment, job satisfaction and patient safety. Structural empowerment has a significant positive effect on job satisfaction and patient safety. Empowerment mediates the influence of transformational leadership on job satisfaction and patient safety with partial complementary mediation properties Keywords: transformational leadership, structural empowerment, job satisfaction, patient safety
