Abstract

Working capital is the value of the assets/ property that can be used as corporate cash is used for everyday purposes, example to pay salaries, purchase of raw materials/ goods, pay for transportation, pay the debt, and so forth. Therefore , errors in managing working capital operations can result in stunted or halted altogether. This study aim to examine the influence of capital on the profitability of manufacturing companies on theStock Exchange in terms of cash turnover, receivable turnover, inventory turnover, leverage ratio, working capital turnover, and current ratio as well as the influence on the profitability (ROA). 52 samples with polling data on 13 manufacturing companies in the years 2008-2011. Research using the test methods and test the influence of the classical assumptions of multiple regression. The result there is a difference between the level of profitability in the cash turnover, receivable turnover, inventory turnover, leverage ratio, working capital turnover, and current ratio. The conclusion was the profitability (ROA) of manufacturing companies in analysis found that the R2 is 0,635, meaning that only 63,5% change in the profitability of manufacturing companiescan be explained by the seven independen variables, although the value of F found that the seven independent variables jointly influence the level of profitability of public enterprises and the manufacturing industry. Manufacturers advice should be such as to maximize their working capital management of the cash turnover and receivable turnover for cash to get the maximumprofitability.
