Abstract
Profit is an element either of important that most to describe the performance of the overall company. With adequate profit levels, income guarantees for creditors and shareholders. The greater the level of income, it will increase the confidence of investors. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of variable capital, assets, earnings, and liquidity to the banking profit growth. The population in this study are all banking companies go public in Indonesia are listed on the Stock Exchange in the period 2007-2010. The sampling technique used purposive sampling method. The analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis using the SPSS. The results of the analysis consists of a variable Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Non Perfoming Loans (NPL), Loan To Deposit Ratio (LDR) and Operating Expenses / Operating Income (BOPO) showed that capital (represented by the CAR) affect positive and significantly the profit growth of 0.046, assets (represented by NPL) affect negative and not significantly the profit growth of 0.845, earnings (represented by BOPO) affect positive and significantly the profit growth of 0.026, and liquidity (represented by the LDR) affect negative and not significantly the profit growth of 0.750. Taken together variable CAR, NPL, BOPO and LDR affect earnings growth with a significance level of 0.045. Model Fit Test 15.8%.
