Abstract

The purpose of this studyis to test the effect of liquidity ratios, leverage ratios, activity ratios, profitability ratios on the stock return of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange 2007-2010 period. Sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling with the following criteria: (1) The company publishes a completed financial statements for 4 years, in the 2007-2010. (2) The company is a manufacturing company that going public and distribute cash dividends during 2007-2010. (3) The Company does not distribute bonus shares and dividend shares in 2007-2010. Samples are obtained amount 34 companies so that the data used totaled 136 observation points. Analysis tools used is multiple linear regression. The hypothesis test using the test F statistic test and t statistic test with a significance level of 5%. The results showed the liquidity ratio (CR), the leverage ratio (DER), the activity ratio (TATO), the profitability ratio (ROA) is jointly affect stock returns. But for partially leverage ratio (DER) and the profitability ratio (ROA), which significantly influence the stock retun. These results indicate that the company's ability to meet long-term debt and generate a return on assets used by investor to predict stock returns of manufacturing firms listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange 2007-2010 period.
