Abstract
This study aims to test the predictions of a bankruptcy on State-Owned Enterprises which went public on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Because the state has an important role as a locomotive in Indonesia's economy. By using the Altman Z-Score, this study try to predict the bankruptcy of 9 SOE’s three years after the initial public offering (IPO) in comparison the current factual. The data used in this study is the annual financial reports which are published on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. During the observation period, PT. Kimia Farma Tbk in a healthy condition from the year of IPO until the third year after it. PT. Indofarma in a healthy condition only on the year of the IPO, on the first year until the third year after it, they are assessed in grey areas. PT. Batubara Bukit Asam dan PT. Perusahaan Gas Negara are in a healthy condition from the year of IPO until the third year after it. PT. Bank Mandiri in a grey area condition on the year of the IPO and on the first year after it, on the second year after IPO PT. Bank Mandiri are in the state of bankcruptcy and they come back to the grey areas on the third year. PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia in a bankcruptcy condition on the year of IPO, on the first year until the third year after it, they are assessed in grey areas. PT. Adhi Karya in a healthy condition only on the year of the IPO, on the first year until the third year after it, they are assessed in grey areas. PT. Wijaya Karya in a healthy condition from the year of IPO until the third year after it. PT. Jasa Marga in a healthy condition on the year of the IPO and on the first year after it, on the second year and the third year after IPO, they are assessed in grey areas.
