Abstract
The merger is the merge of two or more companies where one of them remained standing with the company name while others merged with any name and wealth. Theoretically, the merger will have a positive impact on the performance of companies, both manufacturing and service companies. In connection with the merger of banking performance assessment is expected to provide sufficient information for investors about the soundness of the merged bank. Banking firm that made an Object of study is the Bank CIMB Niaga. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of mergers on the Performance of Bank CIMB Niaga. Level of financial performance is measured using financial ratios contained in the CAMELS (Capital, Asset Quality, Management, Earnings, Liquidity and Sensitivity of Market Risk). The data in this study using secondary data from Bank CIMB Niaga issued by Bank Indonesia Directory. Data processing method using a paired sample t test with SPSS 17 media. The test results of the merger process variables showed no significant effect on the CAR, NPL, NPM, ROA, and the LDR.
