Abstract

The success of the bank is a state where the company is able to achieve the goals set by the company shows the state of the banking system and better than ever before and are also able to survive to develop their business. The success of business whether or not the performance of the bank or banking company from the aspects of financial and non financial aspects. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that may affect the success of the bank. In this study, measurement of success if the bank has increased profits and an increase in total assets. This study uses the variable capital, operating costs and revenue. The sampling method in this study using purposive sampling with a sample of 23 banking companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange with the criteria of the banking firm that provides comprehensive financial statement data for the study period 2008-2010. Analytical techniques used in this study was logistic regression. The test results showed that the capital and operating cost affect the success of the bank, while income does not affect the success of the bank. Measure of goodness of the model in this study was 80,8 %.
