Abstract
Employees have an important role for the company to achieve its goals.In order to motivate employees, the company's rewarding to drive employees’ performance. The intended rewardingcould be in form of profit sharing and share ownership by employees or commonly called ESOP (Employee Stock Option Program). ESOP is expected to improve the performance of employees to have a high commitment for improving company performance. This research aimed to analyze the effect of ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Program) on the company performance as measured by financial ratios, namely ROA, ROE and EPS.Employee stock ownership factor is necessary for the company to increase the commitment of employees in order to improve the performance of the company. The independent variable in this study is the ESOP, while the dependent variable of the study was the performance of the company which is measured by ROA, ROE and EPS. In addition, this study also uses variable control Leverage (DER), Capital Intensity and Sales Growth. The results of this study are variable ESOP has significant influence on ROA, ROE, and EPS with a significance value of 0,002; 0,003; and 0,000.
