Abstract

This research is motivated by a decrease in teacher performance. Problems that arise in teachers are in the form of workload where teachers are required not only to be able to teach a number of knowledge and skills that are aligned with the potential and characteristics of their students, but also to be able to act as social workers, counselors and administrators, teachers. is an important component in the world of education, therefore more attention needs to be given in order to create qualified teachers so that this can support teacher performance. The purpose of this research is to empirically test the effect of leadership style on teacher performance, empirically test the effect of motivation on teacher performance, empirically test leadership style and motivation on teacher performance. This study used quantitative methods, data were collected using questionnaires and interview techniques, the respondents in this study were 61 teachers. The results of this study indicate that leadership style has a positive and significant influence on teacher performance, motivation has a positive and significant influence on teacher performance, leadership style and motivation has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance Keywords: Leadership style, work motivation, teacher performance

Additional Information: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi adanya penurunan kinerja guru, Permasalahan yang timbul pada guru berupa beban kerja dimana guru dituntut tidak hanya mampu mengajarkan sejumlah pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang selaras dengan potensi dan karakteristik peserta didiknya, melainkan juga harus mampu bertindak seperti social worker, konselor dan administrator, Guru merupakan komponen penting dalam dunia pendidikan, oleh karenanya perhatian yang lebih perlu diberikan agar dapat menciptakan guru yang berkualitas sehingga hal tersebut dapat menunjang kinerja guru. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah menguji secara empiris pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan terhadap kinerja guru, Menguji secara empiris pengaruh motivasi terhadap kinerja guru, Menguji secara empiris gaya kepemimpinan dan motivasi terhadap kinerja guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif, data dikumpulkan dengan teknik kuesioner dan wawancara, responden dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 61 guru, Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa Gaya kepemimpinan memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guru, Motivasi memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guru, Gaya kepemimpinan dan motivasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guru Kata kunci : gaya kepemimpinan, motivasi , kinerja guru
