Abstract
Tidar University, as the only state university in the former Kedu Residency area, plays a central role in creating a comfortable and conducive educational environment. This, of course, brings challenges and issues in managing existing human resources. Based on previous phenomena and research, a different research formulation was taken, namely a study on the effect of transformational leadership on employee performance through the mediating role of organizational commitment on the performance of employees at the Faculty of Engineering, Tidar University. The research was conducted with 99 respondents using a questionnaire. Data analysis was processed using Smart PLS 4.0. Based on the analysis results, the evaluation of the reflective measurement shows that the existing criteria are met, indicated by an outer loading value > 0.70, Composite Reliability > 0.70, and Cronbach’s alpha > 0.50. The validity of the determinations is satisfied, as shown by Cross Loading, Fornell-Larcker criterion, and HTMT. There is a significant impact of transformational leadership on employee performance with a path coefficient value of (0.292) and p-values of (0.013). There is a significant effect of transformational leadership on organizational commitment with a path coefficient value of (0.560) and p-values of (0.000). There is a significant influence of organizational commitment on employee performance with a path coefficient value of (0.303) and p-values of (0.010). There is a significant mediating role of organizational commitment in enhancing transformational leadership’s impact on employee performance with a path coefficient of (0.170) and p-values of (0.020). The mediating role of organizational commitment in enhancing transformational leadership is classified as having a low impact (Upsilon v = 0.001). The evaluation of model fit and goodness of fit indicates the suitability of the data used and accuracy, shown by the R Square, Q Square, SRMR, and NFI values, which have met the criteria.

Additional Information: | Universitas Tidar sebagai salahsatu perguruan tinggi negeri satu-satunya di wilayah eks karesidenan Kedu memiliki peran sentral dalam menciptakan lingkungan pendidikan yang nyaman dan kondusif hal ini tentu melekat permasalahan dan tantangan dalam mengelola SDM yang ada. Berdasarkan fenomena dan penelitan sebelumnya diambil sebuah rumusan penelitian yang berbeda yaitu kajian terkait pengaruh kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap kinerja pegawai melalui peran mediasi komitemen organisasional pada kinerja pegawai Fakultas Teknik Universitas Tidar. Penelitian dilaksanakan terhadap 99 responden dengan menggunakan kuisioner. Analisa pengolahan data menggunakan smart PLS 4.0.. Berdasarkan hasil analisa Berdasarkan pengujian evaluasi hasil pengukuran reflektif data pengujian menunjukkan bahwa memenuhi kriteria yang ada dengan ditunjukkan bahwa nilai outer loading > 0.70, Composite Realibility > 0.70, serta cronbac’h alpha > 0.50. Validitas determinasr terpenuhi baik dari Cross Loading, Fornell Lacker maupun HTMT. Pengaruh signifikan pada peningkatan kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap kinerja pegawai dengan nilai path coefficient (0.292) dan p-values (0.013). Pengaruh signifikan pada peningkatan kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap komitmen organisasional dengan nilai path coefficient (0.560) dan p-values (0.000). Pengaruh signifikan pada peningkatan komitmen organisasional terhadap kinerja pegawai dengan nilai path coefficient (0.303) dan p-values (0.010). Pengaruh signifikan peran mediasi komitmen organisasional dalam peningkatan kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap kinerja pegawai dengan nilai path coefficient (0.170) dan p-values (0.020). Peran mediasi komitmen organisasional dalam peningkatan kepemimpinan transformasional tergolong pengaruh rendah (Upsilon v = 0.001). Evaluasi kebaikan dan kecocokan model menunjukkan kesesuaian data yang digunakan dan akurasi dengan ditunjukkan nilai R Square Q Square, SRMR, dan NFI yang telah memenuhi kelayakan. |
