Abstract

Competent schools will achieve success through teachers who are not only competent in their respective fields,but are also required to have greater mastery in the field of digital technology,as a determinant of performance in the future. The aim of this research is to examine the role of work motivation as a mediator of the relationship between leadership style and teacher competency on teacher performance as YSKI High School.This research method is quantitative research,using a Likert scale questionneire. The sample in this study wa 44 teachers and was processed using Smart Plus. The results of this research are that leadership style has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance,competence has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance,leadership style has a positive and significant effect on teacher work motivation,work motivation has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance,teacher competency has a positive and significant effect on teacher work motivation,work motivation as a mediating variable strengthens the influence of leadership style on teacher performance and work motivation as a mediating variable strengthens the influence of teacher competence on teacher performance.

Additional Information: Sekolah yang kompeten akan mencapai kesuksesan melalui guru yang bukan hanya berkompeten dalam bidangnya masing-masing,namun juga dituntut agar lebih menguasai bidang teknologi digital,sebagai penentu kinerja di masa yang akan datang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini guna untuk meneliti peran motivasi kerja sebagai mediasi hubungan gaya kepemimpinan dan kompetensi guru terhadap kinerja guru di SMA YSKI. Metode penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif,dengan menggunakan skala likert kuesioner.Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 44 guru,dan diolah menggunakan Smart Plus. Hasil penelitian ini adalah gaya kepemimpinan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap motivasi kerja guru. Motivasi kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap motivasi kerja guru,kompetensi guru berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap motivasi kerja guru,motivasi kerja sebagai variabel mediasi memperkuat pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan terhadap kinerja guru dan motivasi kerja sebagai variabel mediasi memperkuat pengaruh kompetensi guru terhadap kinerja guru
