Abstract
This study aims to identify the factors that influence the commitment of Generation Z in the manufacturing industry in Semarang Regency. The research method used is a SWOT analysis consisting of IFAS (Internal Factors Analysis Summary) and EFAS (External Factors Analysis Summary) analysis. Data was collected through questionnaires with a total of 108 respondents, interviews with HR staff from manufacturing industries, and Focus Group Discussions. The respondent criteria are 21-26 years old and have a minimum of 2 years of work experience in the manufacturing industry. The results show that the Defensive Strategy can be applied in the manufacturing industry. The Defensive strategy (WT) analysis results in several strategies, including conducting regular evaluations of technology and social media policies to better align with Generation Z preferences, and involving Generation Z in development projects to increase their understanding of industry dynamics and encourage faster adaptation. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis SWOT yang terdiri dari analisis IFAS (Internal Factors Analysis Summary) dan EFAS (Eksternal Factors Analysis Summary). Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dengan total responden 108 orang, wawancara dengan staff HRD dari industri manufaktur, serta Forum Group Discussion. Kriteria responden adalah berusia 21-26 tahun dan mempunyai pengalaman bekerja di industri manufaktur minimal 2 tahun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Strategi Difensif dapat diterapkan pada industri manufaktur. Analisis strategi Difensif (WT) menghasilkan beberapa strategi antara lain melakukan evaluasi berkala terhadap kebijakan penggunaan teknologi dan media sosial agar lebih selaras dengan preferensi Generasi Z, dan melibatkan Generasi Z dalam proyek pengembangan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman mereka terhadap dinamika industri dan mendorong adaptasi yang lebih cepat.
