Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to examine the effect of education and training (training) on work motivation and employee performance, work motivation on employee performance, mediation of work motivation on the effect of education and employee performance. The population in this study were all employees of the Education and Culture Office of Tegal Regency as many as 77 employees with a sampling technique using a saturated sample. Analysis using partial least squares (PLS) and smartPLS analysis tools. The results of this study, education and training have a significant positive effect on work motivation and employee performance, work motivation has a significant positive effect on employee performance, work motivation mediates the effect of work motivation on employee performance. Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji pengaruh pendidikan dan pelatihan (diklat), terhadap motivasi kerja dan kinerja pegawai, motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai, mediasi motivasi kerja pada pengaruh pendidikan dan pelatihan terhadap kinerja pegawai. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh pegawai dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Kabupaten Tegal sebanyak 77 pegawai dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan sampel jenuh. Analisis menggunakan partial least square (PLS) dan alat analisis smartPLS. Hasil penelitian ini, pendidikan dan pelatihan berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap motivasi kerja dan kinerja pegawai, motivasi kerja berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai, motivasi kerja memediasi pengaruh motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai.
