Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of incentives, rewards and punishments on employee performance. The population in this study is the entire of employees in Semarang City. The sampling technique used was probability sampling(simple random sampling) with the Slovin formula, so that 100 respondents were obtained. The data collection technique in this study used a questionnaire with a Likert scale. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique uses multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study show that incentives and rewards have a positive and significant effect on employee performance, while punishment has a negative and insignificant effect on employee performance.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh insentif, reward maupun punishment terhadap kinerja karyawan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh karyawan yang berada di Kota Semarang. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah probability sampling(simple random sampling) dengan rumus Slovin, sehingga diperoleh 100 responden. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner dengan skala Likert. Sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa insentif dan reward berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan, sedangkan punishment berpengaruh negatif dan tidak signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan.
