Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of soft skills and hard skills on self-confidence, along with the role of job training as a moderating variable. Using a quantitative approach, the study involved 106 trainees at the Temanggung Vocational Training Center (BLK) as the research sample. Data were analyzed using the SEM-PLS method. The results show that soft skills and hard skills significantly influence participants' confidence positively. Soft skills were found to be the most dominant factor in increasing self-belief compared to hard skills. Furthermore, job training was proven to significantly strengthen the influence of both skills on self-confidence enhancement. These findings emphasize the importance of integrating non-technical and technical competency development in vocational training programs to create graduates who are not only operationally skilled but also possess strong mental readiness to compete in today's increasingly competitive and global labor market.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh soft skill dan hard skill terhadap kepercayaan diri, serta peran pelatihan kerja sebagai variabel moderasi. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, penelitian ini melibatkan 106 responden peserta pelatihan di Balai Latihan Kerja (BLK) Temanggung sebagai sampel penelitian. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan metode SEM-PLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa soft skill dan hard skill secara signifikan berpengaruh positif terhadap kepercayaan diri. Soft skill ditemukan sebagai faktor yang paling dominan dalam meningkatkan keyakinan diri peserta dibandingkan hard skill. Selain itu, pelatihan kerja terbukti secara signifikan mampu memperkuat pengaruh kedua keterampilan tersebut terhadap peningkatan kepercayaan diri secara nyata. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya integrasi pengembangan kompetensi non-teknis dan teknis dalam program pelatihan vokasi untuk menciptakan lulusan yang tidak hanya terampil secara operasional tetapi juga memiliki kesiapan mental yang kuat untuk bersaing di pasar kerja yang semakin kompetitif saat ini.
