Abstract

Abstract The decline in performance experienced by frontliner employees of PT. Mandiri Taspen in the 5 Semarang region during the 2020 to 2024 period cannot be separated from issues related to the balance between work and personal life, commonly referred to as work-life balance. In practice, employees face considerable workloads, particularly when customer volume increases or when service policy adjustments occur. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the mediating role of job satisfaction in the influence of work-life balance on job performance. The population in this research consists of 119 frontliner employees of Bank Mandiri Taspen in Region 5 Semarang. The sampling technique used is saturated sampling. Data collection was carried out by creating a Google Form questionnaire with questions and scales tailored to the data to be measured. Subsequently, the Google Form link was distributed to respondents. After data collection, the analysis process was conducted using SmartPLS software for statistical testing and hypothesis testing. The results show that work-life balance has a positive effect on job performance, work-life balance has a positive effect on job satisfaction, job satisfaction has a positive effect on job performance, and work-life balance positively influences job performance when mediated by job satisfaction Keyword: Work-Life Balance, Job Satisfaction, Job Performanc

Additional Information: Abstrak Penurunan kinerja yang dialami oleh pegawai frontliner PT. Mandiri Taspen di wilayah 5 Semarang selama periode 2020 hingga 2024 tidak dapat dilepaskan dari permasalahan yang berkaitan dengan keseimbangan antara kehidupan kerja dan kehidupan pribadi atau yang lebih dikenal dengan istilah work-life balance. Dalam praktiknya, pegawai menghadapi beban kerja yang cukup intens, terutama ketika volume nasabah meningkat atau ketika terjadi penyesuaian kebijakan layanan. Sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran mediasi job satisfaction pada pengaruh work-life balance terhadap job performance. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah karyawan frontliner Bank Mandiri Taspen di Wilayah 5 Semarang sebanyak 119 karyawan. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah sampel jenuh. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan membuat google form kuesioner dengan pertanyaan dan skala yang sesuai dengan data yang hendak diukur. Selanjtunya, mengirim link google form ke responden. Lalu setelah pengumpulan data, proses analisis dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan software SmartPLS untuk uji statistik dan menguji hipotesis penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa work-life balance berpengaruh positif terhadap job performance, work-life balance berpengaruh positif terhadap job satisfaction, job satisfaction berpengaruh positif terhadap job performance serta work-life balance berpengaruh positif terhadap job performance dimediasi job satisfaction.
