Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of competency improvement in mediating the influence of training and work motivation on the performance of alumni of CV Famara Hardja. The background of this research is based on the importance of competency development through training and certification. This research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method, where data were collected from 87 respondents who are alumni of training and certification programs conducted by CV Famara Hardja. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS) to examine both direct and indirect relationships among training, motivation, competency, and performance variables. The results show that training has a positive and significant effect on competency improvement and alumni performance. Work motivation also positively influences competency and performance. Furthermore, competency serves as a significant mediating variable between training, motivation, and performance. Keywords: training, motivation, competency, performance, mediation, CV Famara Hardja

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran peningkatan kompetensi dalam memediasi pengaruh training dan motivasi kerja terhadap peningkatan kinerja alumnus CV Famara Hardja. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasari oleh pentingnya peningkatan kompetensi tenaga kerja melalui pelatihan dan sertifikasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survey, di mana data diperoleh melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada 87 responden yang merupakan alumnus pelatihan dan sertifikasi di CV Famara Hardja. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah Partial Least Square (PLS) untuk menguji hubungan langsung dan tidak langsung antara variabel training, motivasi, kompetensi, dan kinerja. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa training berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap peningkatan kompetensi dan kinerja alumnus. Motivasi kerja juga terbukti memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap kompetensi dan kinerja. Selain itu, kompetensi kerja berperan signifikan sebagai variabel mediasi antara training dan motivasi terhadap kinerja.
