Abstract
Profitability is crucial for measuring a company's ability to generate profits, both in relation to sales, assets, and net profit on equity. Good company profitability can be used as a benchmark or indicator of working capital, liquidity, and company size. To demonstrate the influence of these three factors, this study aimed to determine the effect of working capital, liquidity, and company size on profitability in food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2022-2024 period. This study was conducted in manufacturing companies in the food and beverage sub-sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2022-2024 period. This research method used a sample of 23 manufacturing companies in the food and beverage sub-sector. This study used secondary data obtained by downloading financial reports published on www.idx.co.id. The secondary data presented in this study was time series data. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling, and 23 companies were sampled over a three-year period, resulting in a total of 69 observations. The analytical method used in this study is the Classical Assumption Test, consisting of the Normality Test, Multicollinearity Test, Autocorrelation Test, and Coefficient of Determination (R²) Test. Hypothesis testing in this study uses the T-test, Model Feasibility Test (F-Test), and Multiple Regression Analysis. The results of this study indicate that working capital has no effect on profitability in food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Liquidity does affect profitability in food and beverage companies. Company size also affects profitability in food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.
