Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze the influence of work ability on employee performance, with work motivation as a mediator, at Muhammadiyah University Semarang. The population in this study was all postgraduate education staff at Muhammadiyah University Semarang, totaling 32 employees. This study used a saturated sampling method, also known as a census, where all members of the population were sampled. This was due to the relatively small number of employees, allowing for the entire 32 employees at Muhammadiyah University Semarang to be included as respondents. The analytical test tool used was Smart PLS software with a Variance Accounted For (VAF) mediation test. The results showed that work ability had a positive effect on employee performance, work ability had a positive effect on work motivation, work motivation had a positive effect on employee performance, and work ability had a positive effect on employee performance, with work motivation as a mediator.

| Additional Information: | Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis “pengaruh kemampuan kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan dengan motivasi kerja sebagai mediator di Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang”. Populasi dalam penelian ini adalah seluruh tenaga kependidikan pascasarjana yang ada di universitas muhammadiyah Semarang dengan jumlah 32 karyawan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pemilihan sampel jenuh atau istilah lain sensus, dimana seluruh anggota populasi dijadikan sampel. Hal itu dikarenakan jumlah karyawan yang tergolong sedikit sehingga memungkinkan untuk seluruh jumlah Karyawan di universitas muhammadiyah Semarang dengan jumlah 32 karyawan dijadikan sebagai responden. Alat uji analisis yang digunakan adalah menggunakan software Smart PLS dengan uji mediasi Variance Accounted For (VAF). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan kerja berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja karyawan, kemampuan kerja berpengaruh positif terhadap motivasi kerja, motivasi kerja berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja karyawan, kemampuan kerja berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja karyawan dengan motivasi kerja sebagai mediator. |
