Abstract
ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the factors that drive the formation of a learning organization at Yayasan Pendidikan Islam Terpadu (YPIT) Al Huda Wonogiri by highlighting the roles of transformational leadership, teachers’ organizational commitment, and organizational culture as a mediating variable. The background phenomenon of this research is the dominance of transactional leadership, which tends to limit innovation and teacher collaboration, thereby necessitating leadership and cultural models that can strengthen organizational learning. The research employed a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. Data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires distributed to 200 teachers across various educational levels under YPIT Al Huda Wonogiri. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with the assistance of SmartPLS software. The findings reveal that teachers’ organizational commitment has a positive and significant effect on both organizational culture and learning organization. Transformational leadership significantly influences organizational culture but does not directly affect the learning organization. Organizational culture is proven to have a significant effect on the learning organization and serves as a partial mediator in the relationship between teachers’ commitment and transformational leadership with the learning organization. These results emphasize that organizational culture plays a key role in transforming the influence of leadership and teacher commitment into the development of schools as learning organizations. The implications of this research indicate the necessity of strengthening a collaborative, innovative, and open organizational culture, along with enhancing teacher commitment through visionary transformational leadership, so that Islamic integrated schools can develop as adaptive and sustainable learning organizations. Keywords: transformational leadership, teachers’ organizational commitment, organizational culture, learning organization
