Abstract

The quality of workers in the garment industry is a crucial element in maintaining the company's competitiveness and productivity. The Training Center (BLK) BIPTAK as a vocational training institution has a strategic role in equipping the workforce with relevant skills needed by the industry. Human Capital Theory is used as a basis for examining the effect of BLK's effectiveness on worker quality mediated by skill enhancement. This study employs a quantitative approach involving 115 respondents from alumni of training participants at BLK Semarang and analyzed through multiple linear regression. The results indicate that all variables positively affect worker quality, and skill enhancement can mediate the effect of BLK's effectiveness on worker quality.
