Abstract
Employee performance in government institutions now directly reflects public trust in state agencies. The Department of Transportation of Pekalongan City, as a public institution, faces challenges in maintaining service quality that is determined not only by technical abilities but also by employees’ psychological factors. Emotional Intelligence Theory and the Theory of Work Performance are used to examine the influence of emotional intelligence on employee performance, mediated by work attitude and work motivation. This study employs a quantitative approach with 109 respondents and is analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results show that all variables affect performance, and both work attitude and work motivation successfully mediate the influence of emotional intelligence on employee performance.

Additional Information: | Kinerja pegawai instansi pemerintahan kini menjadi representasi langsung dari kepercayaan publik terhadap institusi negara. Dinas Perhubungan Kota Pekalongan sebagai instansi publik memiliki tantangan dalam menjaga kualitas pelayanan yang tidak hanya ditentukan oleh kemampuan teknis, tetapi juga oleh faktor psikologis pegawai. Emotional Intelligence Theory dan Theory of Work Performance digunakan untuk menguji pengaruh kecerdasan emosional terhadap kinerja pegawai yang dimediasi oleh sikap kerja dan motivasi kerja. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan 109 responden dan dianalisis melalui regresi linier berganda. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa seluruh variabel berpengaruh terhadap kinerja, serta sikap kerja dan motivasi kerja mampu memediasi pengaruh kecerdasan emosional terhadap kinerja. |
