Abstract

Employee competency is a very important asset in an organization or institution, the success of an organization is determined by the results of employee quality. Employees must have good competence to support the implementation of the vision and mission within an organization. The increase in employee competence is caused by several factors including upskilling and reskilling which always play a role in influencing the increase in employee competence. This research succeeded in collecting 105 respondents, namely millennial generation employees who live in the city of Semarang and then used as samples in various analytical tests such as instrument tests, classical assumption tests, and hypothesis testing and multiple linear regression analysis. Using quantitative methods, this research data collection used a purposive sampling technique which was then processed using SPSS version 22. The research results showed that upskilling and reskilling had an effect on increasing employee competency. Keywords: Upskilling, Reskilling, Increasing Employee Competency
