Abstract

The purpose of the study was oriented to analyze proactive personality towards employee adaptability with proactive personality as a moderator and career competence as a mediator. The population of the study was all employees of the Tegal Regency Regional Secretariat totaling 136 employees and the sampling technique was saturated sampling. The data analysis method in this study used SEM PLS analysis. Meanwhile, the findings of the study showed that proactive personality had a significant positive effect on employee career competence and adaptability. Career competence has been found to have no effect on employee adaptability. Career competence is able to partially mediate the influence of proactive personality on employee adaptability. Proactive personality is able to strengthen the influence of career competence on employee adaptability. Keywords: Employee Adaptability; Career Competence; Proactive Personality

Additional Information: Tujuan penelitian berorientasi untuk menganalisis kepribadian proaktif terhadap kemampuan beradaptasi pegawai dengan kepribadian proaktif sebagai pemoderasi dan kompetensi karier sebagai pemediasi. Populasi penelitian yakni seluruh pegawai Sekretariat Daerah Kabupaten Tegal sebanyak 136 pegawai dan teknik pengambilan sampel yakni sampel jenuh. Metode analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisis SEM PLS. Sementara temuan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepribadian proaktif berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kompetensi karier dan kemampuan beradaptasi pegawai. Kompetensi karier telah ditemukan tidak berpengaruh pada kemampuan beradaptasi pegawai. Kompetensi karier mampu memediasi parsial pada pengaruh kepribadian proaktif terhadap kemampuan beradaptasi pegawai. Kepribadian proaktif mampu memperkuat pengaruh kompetensi karier terhadap kemampuan beradaptasi pegawai.
