Abstract

The digital technology revolution has changed the world of human work and has even created human dependence on the availability of information communication technology (ICT) resources and has an impact on perceived organizational support (POS), job satisfaction (JS) and work life balance (WLB). This study uses a quantitative research design with Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) and bootstrap estimation. Data were collected through a survey of 200 employees of Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN) Syariah at the Regional Office 6 Semarang, Solo, Yogyakarta and Tegal Branches. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between ICT resources and organizational support perceived by employees on job satisfaction experienced by employees. In addition, this study also examines how work-life balance moderates the relationship. The results show that there is a positive and significant direct effect of ICT resources on JS; POS on JS. For the indirect relationship, there is a positive-significant effect of ICT on JS through WLB and the effect of POS on JS through WLB. Thus, this study reflects that ICT resources is a determinant element that is aligned with the fundamental ideals of technology development, which is to assist and improve human welfare. In this case, it has been demonstrated by the achievement of job satisfaction and work-life balance experienced by BTN employees. Specifically in the context of Islamic Banks, the use of ICT resources supported by the organization has proven to be able to provide job satisfaction and create a balance between the lives of employees with a way of working that reflects Islamic values. Additional Information: Abstrak Revolusi teknologi digital telah mengubah dunia kerja manusia dan menciptakan ketergantungan manusia pada ketersediaan information communication technology (ICT) resources dan berdampak terhadap perceived organizational support (POS), job satisfaction (JS) dan work life balance (WLB). Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian kuantitatif dengan Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) dan estimasi bootstrap. Data dikumpulkan melalui survei terhadap 200 karyawan Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN) Syariah pada Kantor Wilayah 6 Cabang Semarang, Solo, Yogyakarta dan Tegal. Kuesioner kembali sebanyak 125 orang. Tujuan studi ini adalah mengkaji hubungan antara ICT resources dan dukungan organisasional yang dirasakan karyawan terhadap kepuasan kerja yang dialami karyawan. Selain itu, studi ini juga memeriksa bagaimana keseimbangan antara kehidupan kerja dan pribadi mampu memoderasi hubungan tersebut. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh langsung positif dan signifikan ICT resources terhadap JS; POS terhadap JS. Untuk hubungan tidak langsung terdapat pengaruh positif-signifikan ICT resources terhadap JS melalui WLB dan pengaruh POS terhadap JS melalui WLB. Dengan demikian studi ini merefleksikan ICT resources merupakan elemen determinan yang selaras dengan cita-cita mendasar pengembangan teknologi, yakni untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan manusia. Dalam hal ini telah ditunjukkan dengan pencapaian kepuasan kerja dan keseimbangan antara kerja dan hidup yang dialami oleh karyawan BTN. Secara khusus dalam konteks Bank Syariah, pemanfaatan ICT resources yang didukung oleh organisasi terbukti mampu memberikan kepuasan kerja dan mewujudkan keseimbangan antara kehidupan karyawan dengan cara kerja yang mencerminkan nilai-nilai islami.
