Abstract

Currently the 4.0 industrial revolution is marked by rapid changes in the digital age. Indonesian people are already accustomed to using technology but have not been able to utilize it optimally. On the other hand, the level of literacy in the capital market is still very low. According to the national survey in 2016 financial literacy index is 29.66% and the financial inclusion index is 67.82%. Sector financial literacy in the capital market is only 4.40% and financial inclusion 1.25% while the results of the national survey of sharia financial literacy is only 8.11% and the Islamic financial inclusion index is only 11.06%. The Islamic capital market literacy index is only 0.02% while the Islamic capital market inclusion index is 0.01%. The Indonesia Stock Exchange is the first and only one in the world to develop the Shariah Online Trading System (SOTS). Shariah Online Trading System is an online sharia stock transaction system that meets sharia principles in the capital market. This paper discusses the results of thoughts related to the development, challenge and role of SOTS in the Indonesian Islamic capital market in the face of the industrial revolution 4.0 in the digital age.
