Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of fee-based income variables, growth of third-party funds, company size, and economic conditions on the level of profitability of conventional commercial banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This study uses secondary data which is panel data that is a combination of cross section data and time series data (2014-2018). Data sourced from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), IDX and other relevant agencies as supporting data for this study. The analytical method used is panel data regression analysis with model selection through three estimation approaches namely common effect model (CEM), fixed effect model (FEM), and random effect model (REM) by using EViews 10 SV software. The results in this study indicate that fee-based income, growth of third party funds, company size and economic conditions have a significant influence together on the level of bank profitability. Partially, the variable growth of third party funds and company size has a positive and significant effect on bank profitability. While the variable fee-based income and economic conditions do not significantly influence bank profitability.
