Abstract

This research aims to examine and analyze the mediation mechanism of the variable Love of Money on the influence of Perceived Corruption and unethical behavior on innovative work behavior. The researcher hypothesizes that the love of money plays a mediating role in the emergence of corrupt and unethical behavior in an employee's workplace, which can negatively impact innovative work behavior. The population of this study comprises all employees working in non-profit-oriented public sector organizations in the Boyolali District Government. The sample was determined using the indicator formula, resulting in a total of 230 respondents. Data collection was done through a questionnaire distributed via Google Form. The data analysis technique employed was the Partial Least Square (PLS) - Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach with the assistance of SmartPLS version 3 software. The research findings indicate that out of the seven hypotheses, only one was rejected, suggesting that the SEM analysis model of this study has a significant contribution. It was found that Love of Money and Unethical Behavior have a positive and significant impact on Employee Performance, while Perceived Corruption does not have a significant influence on Employee Performance. Both Perceived Corruption and Love of Money significantly influence Unethical Behavior. Additionally, Unethical Behavior mediates the significant impact of Perceived Corruption and Love of Money on Employee Performance.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan menganalisis mekanisme pemediasian variabel kecintaan terhadap uang (Love of Money) pada pengaruh Perceived Corruption dan unethical behaviour terhadap perilaku kerja inovatif. Peneliti menduga bahwa kecintaan terhadap uang menjadi peran pemediasian dari timbulnya perilaku korupsi dan perilaku tidak etis seorang karyawan di tempat kerja yang dapat berdampak pada penurunan perilaku kerja inovatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh karyawan yang bekerja pada organisasi sektor publik di Pemerintah Kabupaten Boyolali yang berorientasi pada non-profit. Sampel diambil berdasarkan rumus indikator sehingga menghasilkan total 230 responden. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner yang disebar dengan Google Form. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah menggunakan pendekatan Partial Least Square (PLS) – SEM dengan bantuan software SmartPLS versi 3. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dari ketujuh hipotesis hanya ditolak satu hipotesis sehingga dapat dinyatakan bahwa model analisis SEM penelitian ini memiliki kontribusi yang signifikan. Diketahui Love of Money dan Unethical Behavior berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Employee Performance, sedangkan Perceived Corruption tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Employee Performance. Perceived Corruption dan Love of Money berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Unethical Behavior. Serta Unethical Behavior mampu memediasi pengaruh Perceived Corruption dan Love of Money berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Employee Performance.
