Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of describing how the influence of profitability, liquidity, and corporate governance consisting of institusional ownership, managerial ownership, and the board of directors on financial distress. study of banking companies on the main board and development board listed on the Indonesia stock exchange for the 2018-2022 period. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with a total 14 banking companies selected. The number of samples used was 11 main boarding banking companies and 3 developer board banking companies. Secondary data sources were obtained from the financial reports of each company for the 2018-2022 period (5 years). The method used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the results of the analysis carried out, it was found that profitability and liquidity variables had an influence on financial distress conditions in banking companies on the main board and developer board. Meanwhile, the corporate governance variable, which is proxied by institusional ownership, managerial ownership, and the board of directors, has no effect on financial distress conditions in banking companies on the main board and development board.
