Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of transformational leadership on mission valence and burnout, the influence of mission valence on burnout, and the mediation of mission valence on the influence of transformational leadership on burnout. The population in this study was all 99 employees of the Regional Secretariat of Tegal Regency with a sampling technique using saturated samples. Analysis uses partial least squares (PLS) and smartPLS analysis tools. The results of this research show that transformational leadership and mission valence have a significant negative effect on burnout, transformational leadership has a significant positive effect on mission valence. Mission valence mediates the negative influence of transformational leadership on burnout with the nature of the mediation being partial complementary Keywords: transformational leadership, mission valence, burnout
