Abstract
This research was conducted to determine the effect of managerial ownership, institutional ownership, dividen policy, profitability, the company�s growth, business risk, asset structure, and firm size. This study used secondary data obtained from the financial statements as well as data from the Indonesia Capital Market Directory (ICMD). The sample are a manufacturing companies listed on the Stock Exchange in 2008 until 2010. The Sampling method using purposive sampling and obtained samples of 39 companies that were sampled in the study. Testing the hypothesis by using multiple linear regression. From the test results indicated that the variable institutional ownership, profitability, asset structure, and firm size significantly affected debt policy, while managerial ownership, dividen policy, the company�s growth, and business risk did not significantly affect debt policy. Size goodness this research model by 72,3%.
