Abstract

Profitability is used as a measure of achieving gains in certain periods. To achieve the maximum profit the amount of funds required in carrying out banking operations of the company. The maximum increase in bank earnings may affect the performance of bank and bank to maintain their health better. Banks need to improve its performance as an indicator of bank soundness rating. Health is a reflection of the condition of banks and bank performance that is useful for the supervisory authority in setting the strategy and focus in the supervision and guidance to the bank.This study aims to determine the effect of CAR, NPL, NIM, BOPO, LDR and the reserve requirement on ROA. Based on the results of 26 studies on local development banks with the base ear 2007-2009 it is concluded that CAR had no effect on rofitability (ROA), there is a negative and significant effect of NPL's profitability (ROA), NIM positive a profitability (ROA), negative and significant influence BOPO to profitability (ROA), LDR positive and significant effect on profitability (ROA), and GWM has no effect on profitability (ROA). Influences together and significant CAR, NPL, NIM, BOPO, LDR, and GWM on profitability (ROA). Calculation results are 2known coefficient of determination or R Adjusted ROA of 91.7% predictor variables affected each CAR, NPL, NIM, BOPO, LDR, and GWM. The remaining 8.3% is influenced by factors outside of those variables.
