Abstract
Bond rating is one that should be considered by investors before making an investment bond because bond rating is the magnitude of the risks of all bonds are traded. This scale indicates how secure a bond to investors. Bond rating is important because the rating provides an informative statement and provide signal about the probability of failure of a company�s debt. The purpose of this study was to determine profitability, liquidity, leverage, firm size, and bond maturity against the bond rating. Sampling method in this research using purposive sampling with a sample of 13 types of bank companies bond listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange in the period 2008-2010. Analytical techniques used in this study is the multiple linear regression. The research finding show that the profitability, firm size and bond maturity to bond rating was positive significant while the liquidity and leverage to bond rating was not significant. Size of the goodness of fit this model in this research by 73.6%.
