Abstract

Underpricing is phenomenon of IPO which often happened in capital market and have been proved researchers in many countries. This research is aimed to analyze of financial factors that influence underpricing. The factors are debt to equity ratio (DER), earning per share (EPS), price earning ratio(PER), return on equity (ROE), and total asset turnover (TATO) as variable independent and underpricing as variable dependent.The sample for this research are 39 companies that have Initial Public Offering in Indonesian Stock Exchange from 2008-2010. Technique of collecting sample is purposive sampling. The analytical methods used in this research was multiple regression. The results indicated that return on equity has negative significantly influences to underpricing. Whereas debt to equity ratio, earning per share, price earning ratio, and total asset turnover do not have an effect significantly to underpricing. This research has adjusted R square value 27%.
