Abstract
Performance is one indicator of the efficiency of a company. Research on the efficiency of banks in Indonesia have been conducted by several researchers. From the research that concludes there is a state-owned bank is the most efficient bank, which concluded that there are foreign banks and national private banks the most efficient, and there is more to conclude that none of the banks operating efficiently. Therefore, this study focuses on three groups of banks are state-owned banks, national private banks and foreign banks. This study used a sample of 12 banks in Indonesia are recorded in the Bank Indonesia in 2006-2009. Samples are grouped into 3 groups: state-owned banks, national private banks and foreign banks, each of which there are four groups of banks. The method used to analyze the data that Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). The results show that foreign banks have an average efficiency of the highest compared with other bank groups. From the results of hypothesis tests performed can be concluded that there are differences in the efficiency of inter-bank groups recorded in the Bank Indonesia in 2006-2009 period covering the state-owned banks, national private banks and foreign banks.
