Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to examine the effect of transformational leadership on mission valence and burnout, the effect of mission valence on burnout, and the mediation of mission valence on the effect of transformational leadership on burnout. The population in this study were all nurses at Suradadi Hospital, Tegal Regency, totaling 83 employees with a sampling technique using saturated sampling. Analysis using structural equation modelling-partial least square (SEM-PLS) and smartPLS analysis tools. The results of this study, transformational leadership has a significant negative effect on burnout, transformational leadership has a significant positive effect on mission valence, mission valence has a significant negative effect on burnout, mission valence plays a role in mediating the negative effect of transformational leadership on burnout with partial complementary mediation properties. Analisis menggunakan structural equation modelling-partial least square (SEM-PLS) dan alat analisis smartPLS Hasil penelitian ini, kepemimpinan transformasional berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap burnout, kepemimpinan transformasonal berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap valensi misi, valensi misi berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap burnout, valensi misi berperan memediasi pengaruh negatif kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap burnout dengan sifat mediasi partial complementary.
