Abstract

This research aims to test empirically the effect of capital structure and profitability on firm value. Parameters of capital structure using Debt to Assets Ratio and Debt to Equity Ratio, profitability using Return on Equity and Earning per Share, company value using Price to Book Value. The method used is quantitative research with a population that includes food and beverage sub-sector companies listed on the IDX. Sampling with purposive sampling. The type of data used is secondary data in the form of financial reports processed from the publication of the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the form of financial reports of sample companies for the period 2019 – 2021. Data analysis using panel data regression method. The analysis tool uses computer software Eviews 12. The results of the study show that (i) debt to assets ratio (DAR) has no positive effect on firm value (price to book value), (ii) debt to equity ratio (DER) has no negative effect on firm value (price to book value), return on equity (ROE) has a positive effect on firm value (price to book value), and (iv) earnings per share (EPS) has no positive effect on firm value (price to book value). Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji secara empiris pengaruh struktur modal dan profitabilitas terhadap nilai perusahaan. Parameter struktur modal menggunakan Debt to Assets Ratio dan Debt to Equity Ratio, profitabilitas menggunakan Return on Equity dan Earning per Share, nilai perusahaan menggunakan Price to Book Value. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan populasi mencakup perusahaan sub sektor makanan dan minuman yang terdaftar di BEI. Pengambilan sample dengan pusposive sampling. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder berupa laporan keuangan yang diolah dari publikasi Bursa Efek Indonesia berupa laporan keuangan perusahaan sample periode 2019 – 2021. Analisis data menggunakan metode regresi data panel.. Alat analisis menggunakan software computer Eviews 12. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (i) debt to assets ratio (DAR) tidak berpengaruh postif terhadap nilai perusahaan (price to book value), (ii) debt to equity ratio (DER) tidak berpengaruh negatif terhadap nilai perusahaan (price to book value), return on equity (ROE) berpengaruh postif terhadap nilai perusahaan (price to book value), dan (iv) earning per share (EPS) tidak berpengaruh positif terhadap nilai Perusahaan (price to book value).
